OSU lands first Wright Center of Innovation |

Ohio's first Wright Center of Innovation will be headquartered at Ohio State University.
A consortium led by OSU received about $17.1 million in state funding to establish a center to investigate next-generation medical-imaging technology. The consortium is to be known as the Biomedical Structural, Functional and Molecular Imaging Enterprise.
The enterprise is the first Wright Center of Innovation. Wright Centers are collaborative projects that bring research and manufacturing assets from around the state together on high-tech projects. They are a major component of the Third Frontier Project, Gov. Bob Taft's 10-year, $1.6 billion plan to position Ohio to thrive in the economy of the future.
