Norcada is a MEMS product and microfabrication technology development company based in Edmonton, Canada. Norcada specializes in contract R&D and prototype fabrication services in the field of micro-electro-mechanical-system (MEMS), which is an enabling technology platform for miniaturization of a wide variety of systems and devices such as sensors, fibre optic components, and bio-analytical devices.
Norcada was founded in 2001 by Yuebin Ning and Graham McKinnon, who have a combined total of more than 30 years of experience in MEMS product development. Both founders participated actively from the early days of MEMS development as a technology and as an enabling product platform, including their earlier pioneer work in developing miniature accelerometers, integrated microphones, thin-film sensors and microfluidics devices.
Since its inception, Norcada has established a wide-range MEMS design and fabrication capabilities which enabled Norcada to conduct numerous MEMS development projects with applications ranging from fibre optic communications to thin-film devices and microfluidics. By working closely with clients from the very beginning of a project, Norcada has been very successful in providing valuable services to its customers. |
